Last week, several missionaries and I came together for a
breakfast. 3 years ago, I was apart of a
short-term team with Woodbury Lutheran Church.
Several of the ladies and I provided a pampering day for the Ecuadorian
ladies at a particular ministry site. We
gave them hand massages, made jewelry with them and shared testimonies. I still remember the glow they had on their
face. I hoped that that day, they felt
incredibly special, wanted and loved.
So at this breakfast, a short-term team provided breakfast,
devotion, and love to us missionaries at Reach Beyond. I was really taken by their act of love, in that as a missionary, we too, need to know that we are special. We were reminded that we are beautiful, every
part of us, even the darkest parts in us.
“All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you”
(Song of Solomon 4:7).
